Recommendations for a powerful life

Especially in the west Ayurveda is primarily considered to be a medical-technical system. But Ayurveda is only partially a medical system. It is not only science, but living undogmatic experience.

The west makes use of some of the aspects of Ayurveda but the spiritual roots remain alien. However, the principles of Ayurveda can be applied to all fields of life. We turn to the things of which we know deeply inside that they help us on our way. We relinquish the things that only harm us. We put ourselves “in order”. With more consciousness we reach our genuine self and gain a new quality of life.

Eight recommendations for a powerful life

  • Adjust your nutrition deliberately to your condition, the season and your age. Also consider your Dosha type. Always care for a pleasant atmosphere during the meals.
  • Stay fit with the appropriate exercises. Compile a fitness plan appropriate for your age, occupation and constitution.
  • Train and cultivate your mental attitude. Differentiate exactly between what is really good for you and all harmful things. When eating, with other activities, and up to your thoughts.
  • Do not let your senses determine. This only leads to greed and illness. Quality of life develops if you can decide about your sensual needs.
  • Be helpful, cultivate your social health. Too much egotism leads to isolation.
  • Give up prejudices against other persons. This will improve your social environment.
  • Be truthful. Honesty makes you relaxed and easy.
  • Care for others - honour your friends and be grateful for their goodwill.
